Hello,
I have bought SJ4000+ Plus about 3 years ago and all the time I was very satisfied. But now I have a problem: after I tried to connect my camera to pc like webcam via VLC media player, appeared a vertical line on the screen in the right. By default VLC player video aspect ratio was 4:3, everything was ok. The line appeared when I changed video aspect ratio to 16:9. When turned FOV to Narrow mode and even more Gyro Sensor is turned on the line moves closer to the right, but still vissible when moving camera. I tried to change a firmware, to restore default settings and to adjust brightness (engmode) - nothing changes. Maybe factory settings - hard reset will help? I don'tt know how to do that. Or maybe any another solution?
Regards

Hey, looks like there is a problem with the Sensor.
Has the camera fallen hard?
You could try to gently push the lens against the sensor. Maybe this helps.
Thank You for an answer. I have changed a lense about the month ago because the old was scratched. When the line appeared I tried to turn on camera without lense, but the line is there anyway. It means the problem is the sensor or the problem is programmical. If programmical problem - I think only hard reset will help, but I don't know how to do that. If sensor - it means this is the time to change a camera...
P.S.: The camera hasn't fallen hard when I had it. I was lending a camera to a friend, maybe he damaged it. He nothing told me...
Yes, could be that it was him, but I don't want to blame anyone.
You could try it with restoring the factory settings first, but I don't think it will do the trick.
Maybe you could reinstall the firmware or do an update.
If this won't help, then the sensor is damaged.
I have tried to reinstall firmware, tried to install earliest firmware, tried to restore default settings from menu - nothing changes. I want to try to restore factory settings (hard reset) if it's possible, but I don't know how to do that...
Unfortunately there is no hard reset for those action cams.
It seems that the sensor is damaged.
