I purchased an SJ5000+ from Amazon (UK) last week before coming on holiday (FW: 3.1)
I've just got the 'white screen of death / brick' with the SJ5000 logo permanently displayed. I am trying to re-flash the firmware in the hope that will fix it, I've got the 3.1 firmware (thank you mmonkey)... Formatted the SD and placed the firmware on the root of it. However, when I get to settings on my camera and highlight the firmware version and press OK/Record, nothing happens.... What am I missing here? There is a beep when I press OK on the firmware version but nothing happens at all?
As I mentioned, I'm on holiday with limited resources so I'm hoping someone can offer some advice or has a solution?!

Hello,
on V3 of the cam you have to go that way:
1. Download the firmware from this link.
2. Place the firmware.bin file from the SD folder on a Fat32 formatted SD Card.
3. Insert the SD Card in the Cam and plug in the USB cable to a USB charger (or PC)
4. The cam should now power on and you can proceed with the update.
